The results of this clean up were awesome, exceding last year by more than 1,800 pounds of debris and more than 200 volunteers! Read more...

NOTE: This is from 2009. This information will change for 2010Meeting Place: Top of Ellwood Mesa Bluffs, at the chimney by the beach access (straight out from Ellwood Beach Drive). See a large picture of the chimney. Beach Captain: Owen Roth and Liz La Rovere(Click to Volunteer) Organization: The City of Goleta Map: Click for a map of Ellwood Beach. See "Special Directions" below. Parking: On Coronado, Phelps, Ellwood Beach Drive, or at the Sperling Preserve. Walk or bike to the site. Special Directions: Do Not rely on Google Maps to find directions to this beach. Directions to parking can be found above. Be prepared to walk long distances to and from the site. We recommend bringing thick work gloves if you have them, this beach has lots of debris on it. Special Thanks: United Way's Day of Caring

NOTE: This is from 2009. This information will change for 2010Meeting Place: At the Beach house, down the dirt path that starts at the tennis courts and leads towards the beach. Beach Captain: Karen Prechtel (Click to Volunteer) Organization: Bacara Resort and Spa Map: Click for a map of Haskell's Beach. See "Special Directions" below. Parking: Haskell's Beach has a free parking lot on site. Use the beach parking lot near Bacara's tennis courts Special Directions: Do Not rely on Google Maps directions to the Beach Marker, they are incorrect. To find directions, follow Google Maps directions to this point. Enter the road that has a sign for Bacara on it and follow it for over a half mile. There will be a parking lot on your left marked by signs that say "Beach Access".
