New Materials Exchange Site Launched for Montecito Residents

The new exchange site will facilitate the sharing of usable natural materials, such as rocks, soil, and mulch, and will help reduce homeowners' disposal costs, as well as limit the amount of debris heading to area landfills.


Hazardous Waste Collection Event April 8 in Santa Ynez


This Sunday, April 8, the County Public Works Department will host a free Household Hazardous Waste and Electronics Collection Event at the Santa Ynez Valley Recycling and Transfer Station in Los Olivos. Stop by any time between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. with items like old paint, automotive fluids, pesticides, TVs, computer equipment, and much more.
