Hazardous Waste Center Closed Over Holidays

The Community Hazardous Waste Collection Center, located at UCSB, will be closed the weekends of December 28-29 and January 4-5. We'll return to normal operations on Friday, January 10 for businesses (by appointment) and on Saturday, January 11 for residents (no appointment necessary).

County Recycles 75% of Community’s Waste

Cleanup Event Attracts Nearly 1,000 Volunteers

The largest volunteer cleanup in Santa Barbara County had another huge year. With 100% of the 25 participating sites reporting, 952 volunteers collected more than 1,900 pounds of trash and 645 pounds of recyclables.
