Pesticide Container Recycling Event

On May 25, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., the County will hold a free collection and recycling event for empty pesticide containers. Sponsored by the Agricultural Commissioner's Office and hosted at the Public Works Department's Santa Maria Road Yard, the event will accept containers as large as 55-gallon drums.
As required by law, participants must triple-rinse their containers prior to bringing them to the collection event. No caps, label booklets, or foil seals from spouts are permitted.
The contractor for the event, Interstate Ag Plastics, will shred the containers offsite and recycle the plastic into other products.
