If you have commingled service at your home, business, office, apartment or school, you can place the following items in your recycling container:

Aluminum cans, foil, and pie plates
Cans of all types (steel, tin, bi-metal)
Cardboard
Glass containers, bottles, and jars
Mixed paper of all colors (e.g. glossy and non-glossy paper, worksheets, office and computer paper, junk mail, magazines)
Newspapers and all inserts
Paperboard (e.g., cereal and tissue boxes)
Paper bags
Phonebooks
#1 PETE plastic containers (e.g., 2 liter soda bottles)
[Check the bottom of the plastic container for the recycling arrow and number.]
#2 HDPE plastic containers (e.g., plastic milk jugs) [Check the bottom of the plastic container for the recycling arrow and number.]

If you have a dumpster at your business or school, you can place the following types of items in your container:

All types of office paper (even glossy!) - put in yellow bags provided by your trash hauler
Cardboard
Newspapers - place in the blue bags provided by your trash hauler

If you have green waste service at your home, business, or school, you can throw the following items into your green waste container:

Grass clippings (although it is recommended that you leave them on the lawn after mowing to return nutrients to the soil)
Leaves
Small branches and prunings
Ivy
NO food waste, animal waste, dirt and rocks, please!
