Through a program called Infinity Initiative, this firm collects used carpeting from businesses. The carpeting is transported to its Dalton facility, where it is cut into small pieces, processed into fine pellets, blended by weight, extruded into a three-foot rope, and then transferred into a calender. Hardened steel cylinders then transform the material into recycled composite sheet backing, and this backing is then rolled and cut, thereby being ready for powerbonding to nylon face materials.
