C&D Recycling: Windows
Construction & Demolition (C&D) materials are generated during construction, remodeling, building repair, cleanup, or demolition.
C&D contains many different types of materials, most of which are recyclable at facilities listed in this section.
Window Glass
Are windows recyclable?
Window glass may look pretty similar to glass containers, but it's actually a much different material. Glass containers are a standardized type of glass. Alternatively, window glass can contain other materials, as well as special coatings. Because of that, you shouldn't put window glass into your recycling bin.
What should we do with it?
The locations below primarily accept intact glass to be reused. However, some of them may accept broken glass for recycling as well. Call them individually to make sure.
